Kathy Guzlas Scholarship
Established in 2000, the Kathy Guzlas Scholarships consists of scholarships for high school seniors going to college that have shown strong leadership, volunteerism and academics in high school. In order to be considered for a scholarship, applicants must be a resident of Glendale Heights or have a guardian/parent whose organization is a member of the Glendale Heights Chamber of Commerce in good standing. Kathy started this fund so there was a scholarship for the graduates in our community.
The Glendale Heights Chamber of Commerce offers up to three $1000 scholarships each year to graduating high school students who are seeking financial assistance towards their educational and career goals.
ELIGIBILITY REQUIREMENTS
- Applicant must be either a resident of Glendale Heights or have an immediate family member who is an active member of the Glendale Heights Chamber of Commerce
- Applicant must be a graduating high school senior
- Applicant must have a high school grade point average of “B” or above
- Applicant must plan to attend a technical school, trade school, business college, community college or four-year college or university
